October

October had a great start to it. I turned 27 to start it all off. Still not sure how I feel about that. Then the following week was spent in a cabin in the great smokey mountains of Tennessee with My brother and his family and his sister 's family from his dad's side. It was a great get away. The kids had a blast with the pool table, ping pong table, and movie theater. The adults loved them as well but mostly enjoyed just being there. Had some great food and made some wonderful memories. Hoping to be able to head back that way or to another cabin getaway of some sort again soon.
Since we have returned Ry has been working on the cub scout badges. He is doing well so far. Yesterday morning we all stood out front of Michaels in Lexington and sold popcorn for the fundraiser. Rylence is a shy child and tends to speak very quietly, but he did a wonderful job of politely introducing himself and asking customers if they would like to help buy some popcorn. He did get kinda antsy towards the end of our 2 hour slot but he finished strong. I am so proud of how much he has already accomplished with the cub scouts and cannot wait to see where this takes him.
Matthew helped me to get the sewing machine from my wonderful SIL running shortly after our return and now I am trying to decide what to make. I have some scrap fabric I have been practicing with but nothing big enough for a project. Definitely woke up the creative spirit in me! Matthew has even made a couple pouches for bean bags. My ultimate goal is to be able to make a quilt and maybe a piece of clothing. I would also love to hand make everything we need for our tiny house. Any ideas or things that you may need that I could make would be welcomed!
For now it is back to daily life in the Motz house. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

XoXo
