Happy Valentine's Day

It feels as if a multitude of time has passed since my last post, when in reality it is just under a month. There have been so many changes in that time. I proudly announce that one of those changes is my professional status; I am an official Registered Nurse! So far the majority of my classmates have also acquired the same status and the remaining ones are scheduled to take the exam. I am overjoyed to be part of such a great group of nurses and excited for all of our careers.
Speaking of careers, mine has recently changed (and for the better). I was offered the Oncology position in Lexington yesterday morning. With much (by which I mean almost constant for two weeks) discussion over the pros and cons of both positions and locations I have decided to accept the Lexington job and decline the one in Louisville. I feel so lucky to have had such a wonderful predicament especially between two major hospitals. My first day is not until March but I feel blessed to be able to open a door into the career I want and start as an oncology nurse.
As far as home life, everything is starting to settle. Rylence has finally been able to attend school for more than one day a week so he is enjoying it more and beginning to find a routine. We have enjoyed being so close to family and sharing meals. I don't know how I will survive for another couple weeks without anything to do but I'm sure I will find something. Matthew and I are excited to start getting to know Lexington and inching toward another new start in a new city. We will be keeping everyone posted on the new city and life as a working RN. Have a great weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!

XoXo
