The Summit

Well I have finished all my exams and am now preparing for my pinning and graduation ceremonies! I cannot believe I am already here. I made it to the summit!! Although I did not earn the grade I wanted I still finished strong and ended with an overall 3.282 GPA. I am very proud of this even though I know it is not the best and could be much better. I worked hard after entering the program and have maintained all A's and B's throughout nursing school, which is not that easy. :) It is also high enough to possibly waive the GRE requirement for the Grad school I plan to attend, so this girl is very satisfied!
I had the second interview for the job in Louisville I want yesterday morning. I feel that it went very well. I enjoyed the nurses who interviewed me and feel I would fit in very well there. I will probably not hear back from them until after Christmas because they still have to finish interviewing the other candidates. I am excited to have made it to this point in the process. I also heard from Vanderbilt yesterday. I have been wait listed, which means that I was not their first choice but I am still qualified and they would like to have me if the first choices decide not to accept the job. This is just one more sign that I am not meant to stay in TN (and I avoid having to make the decision to turn down a job, haha). It is also humbling that they consider me for hire at all. Definitely feeling beyond blessed right now.
This week has been hectic so far and will probably be even more so between today and Saturday. My wonderful mother-in-law is coming in tonight with my favorite brother-in-law and his girlfriend, and I cannot wait to see them! My brother and sister and family are all coming and so is my mom and best friend Pam. I am loved and this week I know it! haha. I am glad they all want to celebrate with me and can't wait for the craziness to begin. In the midst of this we are still packing things up to move to Lafayette, so it will be tons of fun! Even with all the excitement I don't believe that it has sunk in that I am graduating college! I know it is here and I am planning time out with family and such but it stills seems surreal.
I have to start cleaning the apartment up so we are ready for company now and completely packed, so I will say goodbye for now. I will probably not be posting until everything is said and done with graduation (don't think I will even have time to think about anything until it is over). Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

XoXo
