Whirlwind

Well I would say this is an update/catch up but it has been so long that I don't believe that would cover it. Where to begin ha! How about we cover the highlights and then I can blog more details  about some when available.
The holidays were fun. We were able to visit each family and spend time with them. Always fun to see Matt's parents. Rylence was spoiled as always. It was a nice first Christmas in KY. Shortly after My mother was readmitted to the hospital and ended up staying in an acute care facility for a while. I was thankfully able to visit her a couple times although it is never enough when I am three hours away and she doesn't feel well. During that time We had a decent snow fall and attended monster jam again. I don't know that we will be going back next year. Has started to lose its appeal, probably because we have been so much.
February we celebrated Ry turning 8! It really is flying by. I had the opportunity to shadow a nurse in the NICU and fell in love! I decided to start applying to see what happens and am currently scheduled for an interview on March 30th. I love my job right now and my patients but this may be even better. I have always held a place in my heart for NICU so I feel that this route needs to be explored. During all this excitement Mom came home for a short time but fell and broke her humerus in her left arm. She was sent home and fell again so the doctor admitted her to the acute care facility again until she is able to weight bar on her left leg and heal some in her arm. I really don't like being this far away from her. With all the health problems and my brother's family moving to Lexington this summer as well, as a family we decided she needs to move up to KY with one of us until she is able to be on her own again.
With that decision Matthew and I decided she should stay with us and that we would buy a house to accommodate all of us and so that Rylence would have a stable home through the rest of his school years. The hunt began and we picked out four to view on March 16th. We fell in love with one and put an offer in. Long story short we are waiting for the inspections and appraisals then it will be time to close. It has been a crazy whirlwind but I honestly feel it is the best choice for us at this time. Plus since we own the land we can build our tiny house and be ready for the next leg of our journey (just delayed not cancelled.). I will elaborate more on that whole experience when we have moved further along in the process. I have also celebrated a year at UK during the month of March.
This whole year has been a whirl wind so far! I don't think I would have it any other way though honestly. For now I will be picking paint colors and overloading pinterest with house remodel ideas. Hope all is well. :)

XoXo
