Hitting the summit!

Well as you all know I have been extremely busy with school and clinical work. I have not been caught up on anything including this poor blog. I have truly missed all of you and the life I once had!! Haha. I am almost through with this semester now and am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel, well I think it's a light that I am seeing. hehe. I just finished my last project of the semester and am down to 2 tests and 2 finals! It's all down hill from here! I am excited to be done with all the workload but extremely sad to be leaving the clinicals. I thoroughly enjoyed my OB rotation and am now even more excited to pursue a NICU career. I am also sad to be leaving Med-surg. Although I did not enjoy it nearly as much as OB it has so many rewards that I will not mind putting in a few years in a med-surg unit to learn the ropes as a new grad. And may even stay in it, who knows right now. I have fallen in love with so many of my opportunities I have had so far there is no telling where I will end up, and I don't have to stay there either! For instance, I loved my oncology experience as well as the surgery I attended. I guess for now I will just "hold onto my horses" and enjoy the rest of the ride f nursing school until I am able to start exploring my passions and dreams in the workplace.
Outside of school there hasn't been much happening. Ry is doing well in school, and is getting excited about christmas. Matt is working away. That's about it. Just trying to survive through another semester. A mere 4 weeks and I will be a year away from graduation! So hard to believe it is that close already. But as I said home life hasn't changed much. Trying to get the lists together and work on christmas but it may just have to wait until the beginning of December for me to be involved.
That's about it until next time. Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely fall weather and will try to post again soon. Love to all!

xoxo
