Catch up??

Well as you can see by my lack of posting we have been pretty busy since the beginning of the year. I have started my second semester of nursing school with clinical experience and that takes up  most of the time that is available. We have also been going out and doing things with friends and family and that's another reason I haven't had the chance to bog about much. We have been to 2 Monster Jam shows, the zoo, and a miata run. Those are just the highlights lol. It has been wonderful! The biggest event was Rylence's 5th birthday! I am amazed at how fast time is flying by us. And just 2 days ago Matthew turned a quarter of a century old! :) like I said it has been hectic but still wonderful. I am always reading some chapter about something or taking a test or working on paperwork for clinical, therefore we don't get to see much of each other. But when we do it is definitely special. So a quick overview of the high points
Monster Jams were both great! I have to say that Atlanta's was better due to more destruction but both were great! And we finally made it to the beginning of the show in Indianapolis!!!! We had not seen the beginning in the other two lol. We also had the joy of sharing the weekend with Matt's brother's family which was icing on the cake..er.. weekend. And we have decided that we will be doing this yearly until Rylence no longer enjoys it and then it will be just us! hehe
The zoo was another fabulous trip. We went with my best friend Pam, her fiance and children. I have not been to a zoo in over 12 yrs. and Ry had never been at all neither had Pam and her kids, needless to say we were all psyched! And it was a beautiful, warm, sunny day. we had a picnic lunch and the kids loved seeing all the animals. Matthew and I decided to buy a membership so that we could see other zoos at a discount and visit the one in Nashville often. Cheap and easy trips that are fun and educational... how could we pass that up?
And the Miata run is the most recent. It was last Saturday the 24th, It was a simple run to 2 wineries and a restaurant for dinner, but it was fantastic! Kyle and Sarah went as well, which made it our first run together. The wines were all fantastic. We ended buying double what our limit for the day was but it was too hard of a decision. The sun did come out for most of the drive time which was wonderful. We can't wait till the next event! :)
Rylence's birthday was great. We shared the day between A.J. and Ry since they begin and end the month. They of course had a monster truck cake and loved it! Rylence received toys and money as well as a Nintendo DS. I think he likes that more than anything!! lol Nothing to elaborate for Matthew's either. Honestly haven't really done much yet. Went to lunch the day of and then we are planning to go out this weekend. He did receive a very nice fishing pole from his Mom which we need to be trying out soon.
As for me and school, so far so good. Passing everything, but still striving for better. The clinical experience has been rewarding and touching. I know I am in the right career path even though I don't believe a long term care facility is in my future. I have learned so much from the staff and residents but I don't know if I could do the job daily and still distance myself enough. Very rewarding like I said just not the job for me. I am glad this was our first experience with caring for patients. The facility is wonderful and honestly the best long term care facility I have ever seen. I am now anxious and excited to get started with the other working experiences to learn and see new things I have not dealt with before.
That's about all there is to play catch up on for now. I will probably not be back until summer hits but will try my best. :) Until next time!

xoxo
